We are looking to appoint a dynamic, self-motivated, and goal-driven individual to be based in the North West. The successful candidate will report to the Provincial Director and will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to plan and execute both proactive and reactive communications that support the Party’s objectives.
- Ensuring effective delivery of key messages to targeted areas in line with the Party’s strategic goals.
- Maintaining high communication standards that align with the Party’s policies, standard operating procedures, and brand guidelines.
- Designing, maintaining, and updating relevant databases.
- Managing provincial social media accounts and voter contact networks.
Requirements:
- National Senior Certificate or equivalent.
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- Experience in staff management, including project-based roles or completion of the Management Readiness Programme (internal candidates).
- Background in media, marketing, social media, digital media, or journalistic management.
- Content writing experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, and Smartsheet.
- Skills in graphic design, video editing, and photography are advantageous.
- Proficiency in English and Afrikaans.
- Proven investigative and research skills.
- Familiarity with various media houses and the political landscape.
- Understanding of media trends and platforms.
- Knowledge of Party policies is a plus.
- Awareness of legislative and parliamentary processes is advantageous.
- Strong report writing and summarization skills.
- Passion for politics and current affairs with knowledge of all political parties.
- In-depth understanding of the South African political landscape.
- Ability to analyze the political environment and propose actionable responses.
- Skills in building internal and external trust relationships.
- Proven initiative, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to implement system improvements.
- Excellent social media and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Commitment to the values and principles of the Party.
- Ability to work effectively within a demanding schedule.
- Willingness to work long and irregular hours, including weekends and public holidays when necessary.
- A valid driver’s license and a vehicle for daily use are essential.
