As an Events Officer, you will be responsible for managing and implementing key in-person and hybrid external-facing events. You will also provide guidance and support for medium to large-scale events across multiple departments, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, sustainability standards, and brand requirements. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a passion for executing seamless events that leave a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, manage, and implement key in-person and hybrid external-facing events in line with the organization’s strategic communications plan.

Oversee all event logistics, including backend setup for digital platforms when required.

Drive innovative community outreach initiatives.

Provide guidance for events led by various internal units, including Environmental Programmes, Business Development, Operations, and People & Culture.

Ensure all events meet sustainability standards and brand requirements, including workshops and exhibitions.

Maintain and manage a comprehensive events calendar to anticipate long-term planning needs.

Coordinate resources, including venues, catering, and suppliers, to ensure integration, cost-effectiveness, and quality execution.

Collaborate with the brand and campaigns team to ensure strategic alignment of flagship events.

Oversee the production of marketing and promotional materials, including messaging and environmental content.

Manage event-day coordination and execution to ensure seamless delivery.

Track and report on event financials and performance to support monitoring, evaluation, and learning.
Key Requirements:

A qualification in Event Management, Project Management, or a related field.

At least 8 years of experience in event planning, coordination, and logistics.

Proven ability to plan, manage, and execute large-scale events from start to finish.

Strong financial management and reporting skills.

Ability to work under pressure and coordinate teams effectively.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, including public speaking and presentation abilities.

Experience in live event production, including advanced knowledge of lighting, audio, and video production.

Technical expertise in virtual event platforms.
-
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to represent the organization professionally.

A creative, solutions-driven mindset with excellent multitasking ability.

A valid driver’s license.

A passion for environmental and conservation issues and an understanding of their connection to social development.
