As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for upholding departmental standards, overseeing cleaning staff, and ensuring that all areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Your role will involve effective supervision, training, and coordination to maintain operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect all areas and ensure staff are working in their designated areas.

  • Maintain consistency in hotel cleaning standards.

  • Conduct on-the-job training when required.

  • Follow up on early arrivals and departure rooms.

  • Inspect all serviced rooms and complete a guest room checklist.

  • Liaise with room attendants to ensure rooms meet quality standards.

  • Report any maintenance issues in guest rooms or the building.

  • Approve rooms for guest occupancy only if they meet hotel standards.

  • Ensure storerooms, linen rooms, trolleys, and materials remain clean and organized.

  • Supervise room attendants to maintain high cleanliness standards.

  • Uphold agreed standards of hygiene in all public areas.

  • Organize daily work requirements and set performance benchmarks.

  • Ensure all equipment, furniture, and furnishings are well-maintained.

  • Address special guest requests in a timely and cost-effective manner.

  • Supervise housekeeping staff, ensuring efficiency and adherence to standards.

  • Monitor staff movements and ensure productivity.

  • Report disciplinary transgressions to management for appropriate action.

  • Carry out reasonable requests from management promptly.

  • Conduct regular stock checks and place orders as needed.

  • Perform monthly stock counts.

  • Attend meetings and communicate effectively with staff.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a housekeeping supervisory role.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards.

  • Knowledge of housekeeping best practices and hygiene regulations.

  • A proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
