What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Be the expert: Own and develop deep shopper and category insights through analysis of sales, shopper data, and local/global market trends.
  • Drive action: Convert data into digestible insights that empower field sales teams to secure better listings, shelf space, and in-store visibility.
  • Build influence: Partner with National Account teams and retailers to execute strategic category projects and elevate in-store execution.
  • Project ownership: Monitor, analyse, and optimise the performance of category initiatives across trade.
  • Train and inspire: Deliver engaging training sessions to internal teams and retail partners — turning knowledge into execution.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 3–5 years’ experience in Category Management, Insights, or Key Account Sales in the FMCG world.
  • Strong commercial and analytical acumen — you speak Excel, understand Nielsen/IRI, and you can extract insights from chaos.
  • A flair for storytelling with data — you know how to present findings in a way that lands and drives action.
  • Solid experience working directly with retail customers.
  • A good grip on planogramming principles and merchandising strategy.
  • Experience with JDA or similar software would be a plus.
  • Confident, collaborative communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

Location: Cape Town.
