What You’ll Be Doing:
- Be the expert: Own and develop deep shopper and category insights through analysis of sales, shopper data, and local/global market trends.
- Drive action: Convert data into digestible insights that empower field sales teams to secure better listings, shelf space, and in-store visibility.
- Build influence: Partner with National Account teams and retailers to execute strategic category projects and elevate in-store execution.
- Project ownership: Monitor, analyse, and optimise the performance of category initiatives across trade.
- Train and inspire: Deliver engaging training sessions to internal teams and retail partners — turning knowledge into execution.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 3–5 years’ experience in Category Management, Insights, or Key Account Sales in the FMCG world.
- Strong commercial and analytical acumen — you speak Excel, understand Nielsen/IRI, and you can extract insights from chaos.
- A flair for storytelling with data — you know how to present findings in a way that lands and drives action.
- Solid experience working directly with retail customers.
- A good grip on planogramming principles and merchandising strategy.
- Experience with JDA or similar software would be a plus.
- Confident, collaborative communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
Location: Cape Town.
