Experience and Qualifications:

  • Accounting qualification, preferably with completed SAICA/SAIPA/CIMA articles.
  • An Honors degree will be advantageous.
  • 2 years of relevant experience will be advantageous.

Job Responsibilities: As a Financial Accountant in the Freight Industry, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of Annual Budgets: Crafting annual financial budgets for specific entities to ensure sound financial planning.

  • Annual Audit Preparation: Handling the annual audit process to maintain financial transparency and compliance.

  • Monthly Reporting: Regularly reporting on the financial status of selected entities, providing valuable insights for decision-making.

  • Expense Control: Implementing robust controls to monitor and manage expenses effectively, optimizing financial performance.

  • Variance Analysis: Preparing monthly variance reports to identify discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.

  • Team Management: Overseeing administrative staff, ensuring efficient operations within your team.

  • Expense Allocation: Taking charge of expense allocation across various entities and departments within the organization.

  • Tax and Statutory Compliance: Ensuring full compliance with all tax and statutory requirements.
