Key Responsibilities:
- Champion Training Initiatives: Manage comprehensive training at both DC and Retail levels.
- Inspire and Lead: Take charge of the Training Team, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Cultivate Culture: Drive the DC culture plan and values, creating an engaging workplace.
- Strategic Partner: Collaborate with stakeholders to strategically position Learning & Development within the business.
- Empower Talent: Propel the Talent Management Programme through Individual Development Plans.
- Innovative Training Design: Craft and implement training plans aligned with strategic objectives.
- Engage and Promote: Market training programmes to meet the needs of DC and Retail.
- Financial Stewardship: Develop and manage the training budget.
- Measure Impact: Assess and enhance the effectiveness of training programmes.
- Learnership Leadership: Oversee learnerships, learning programmes, and trainee programmes.
- SDF Leadership: Act as the Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) for the DC, managing WSP, ATR, and PIVOTAL grants.
- Stakeholder Relations: Maintain strong relationships with SETAs, learning institutions, and the WCED.
- Retail SDF Guidance: Provide SDF leadership and guidance at the retail level.
- Maximize Benefits: Recover expenses and grants, including discretionary, mandatory, and tax rebates.
- Compliance and Reporting: Manage training reports in line with Central office and SETA requirements.
Required Competencies:
- Matric plus an HR/Training Qualification.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a training management position.
- Experience in the implementation of training-related legislation.
- Ability to support and lead the development of staff.
- Team player with the capability to work independently.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong project management and diagnostic skills.
- A genuine passion for human development.
- Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all stakeholders.
