Employers

O’Brien Recruitment (Pty) Ltd opened its doors in Cape Town in 1997, intending not to be the biggest, but rather the best recruitment partner that clients and jobseekers could find!

Fuelled by a passion for recruitment and a customer centric, energised approach, the first few years saw us conquer a global recession and extensive political and legal changes in our country.

Humbled by our clients continued support and the trust of our top-quality candidates, our business began to grow from strength to strength.

O’Brien Recruitment has become a trusted brand for staffing solutions and although we might have grown exponentially over the last few decades, our humble approach has not changed.

As a medium sized owner managed business with quick decision making ability we pride ourselves on being able to be flexible around our clients.

PERMANENT RECRUITMENT
Whether it’s a single vacancy or a multinational recruitment drive, we have the experience, the resources, the databases, the market knowledge and above all the passion and determination to find the perfect candidate fit.
Over the past few years we have witnessed the recruitment industry move through radical changes from print advertising to online solutions. We combine new age sourcing and old school detail orientated recruiting, to provide you with the best possible recruitment experience. By integrating LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and job boards, we have access to both the active and passive South African job seekers, along with excellent candidate networks.

Recruitment mistakes are costly. O’Brien Recruitment manages the recruitment process, minimizing the amount of time spent by the client and aiming to eliminate the risk of failure. All risky aspects of a recruitment process are taken into consideration; positioning you our client as an employer of choice, advising on salary, relocation and benefits packages to ensure highly competitive positioning, staying very close to the preferred candidates to ensure acceptance of offer – all of these strategies and many, many more are engaged to deliver a successful outcome.

We interview all candidates in a relaxed, professional environment where they are able to communicate freely with us, ensuring every job seeker leaves our offices believing in themselves and motivated to find a suitable job. Subsequent to the Lockdown, as a result of the Pandemic, O’Brien Recruitment offers Candidates the social distancing service of being able to be interviewed online. Our IT and Recruitment systems have made it easy for the O’Brien Recruiters to work effectively from home.

CONTRACTING/TEMPORARY RECRUITMENT

In late 1997, due to client demand OBR started offering temporary/contracting services to clients. We pride ourselves on supplying a high quality of temporary staff to our clients and have a reputation for delivering service excellence, adhering to high standards and procedures. To ensure the right fit, we use the same quality standards of sourcing, screening, assessments and evaluations for temporary staff as we do for permanent recruitment. We build strong relationships with our temps, ensuring they are paid on time, queries are answered immediately and they feel part of the team. We understand Happy Temps = Productive Temps!
O’Brien Recruitment offers competitive rates, we are legally compliant and will tailor-make an outsourced solution to meet your needs.

In addition to providing office support staff on a temporary basis, O’Brien Recruitment continues to successfully staff both inbound and outbound call centres as well as outsourced Finance and Admin divisions.

With the onset of COVID19 we have a number of temps and contractors working from home and have adjusted our Recruitment process to assess connectivity and ‘office space’ suitability.
